3 × 45' Drivable Lung CT Coaches — Winthrop P. Rockefeller Cancer Institute

3-Coach Program
Philips Low-Dose CT
Statewide Arkansas
December 2025

Project Overview

USA Mobile Medical delivered three purpose-built 45' low-dose CT coaches to the University of Arkansas for Medical Sciences (UAMS) and the Winthrop P. Rockefeller Cancer Institute. This multi-unit deployment enables a statewide lung cancer screening program that reaches both urban medical centers and rural communities across Arkansas — extending early detection access where it's needed most.

The Vision: UAMS and the Winthrop P. Rockefeller Cancer Institute identified the urgent need to expand lung cancer screening access across Arkansas, a state with high rates of lung cancer and significant rural populations underserved by fixed imaging facilities. The multi-coach program was designed to create a flexible, statewide screening network.

What Made This Program Possible

01

Multi-Unit Scale

Three identical 45' coaches deployed simultaneously, enabling UAMS to run parallel screening programs across multiple regions of Arkansas at once.

02

Philips Low-Dose CT

Each coach is equipped with Philips low-dose CT technology — the clinical gold standard for lung cancer screening — delivering high-quality images at the lowest possible radiation dose.

03

Statewide Reach

Designed to serve both urban facilities and rural communities, closing the gap in lung cancer screening access that has historically disadvantaged rural Arkansas populations.

04

Purpose-Built Coaches

Each 45' drivable coach is built specifically for lung screening workflows — optimized layout, patient flow, and workflow efficiency for high-volume screening programs.

Three coaches. One mission. Getting life-saving lung cancer screenings to every corner of Arkansas — from Little Rock to the Delta.
